Updates, Spring 2011 - Invitation performances were hosted by the Threshold Arts Center at the request of the Lake Minnetonka Regional Arts Center (LMRAC) Live musical support for new works and excerpts from the CD Barbetta- Tenth Muse were presented. The audience which ranged in age from 7 to 70 were enthusiastic in their response. Thom Flug, director of the center, was most encouraging: “ The performance was phenomenal!” I also introduced a new multi- arts project “STEP THROUGH”. (More on this evolving concept later.)

Next stop Boston. At Emerson College’s 25fth Anniversary Reunion of the European Program, Castle Well, The Netherlands which I founded and where I served as executive director for seven years, I shared an excerpt from TENTH MUSE. “Hearing Aide” and “Hearing Aide- Echos” reminds us that we all must hear and obey our inner call to BLOOM” ! The alumni, administrators, colleagues were very generous in their thoughtful reactions. Samples: “Most inspiring.” “The Castle experience was the most meaningful in my life.” The college literary magazine Expression is publishing a feature on Kasteel Well and the impact it has had on thousands of Emerson students and beyond over its 25 years of service.

The event, as is always the case when I am together with these creative young people, energized me and renewed my determination to share the gifts I have been given with those that wish to “BLOOM”.
